Unlike the first SMART cube models, this new generation model no longer needs a charger and docking system.
It operates on a CR1632 battery, which allows 280 hours of operation, equivalent to 45 minutes daily for 1 year. This battery can then be easily replaced.
The cube is produced by GAN, currently the most renowned company for professional speedcubing cubes.
GAN owns the best performing models on the market, and with one of them, Tymon Kolasiński broke the current world record average with a time of 5.09 seconds using the GAN 11 M Pro cube.
The cube is, of course, magnetic.
In the product box, you'll find a QR code which, when scanned, allows you to download the global CubeStation application (Android and iOS) and connect it to your smartphone via Bluetooth.
This way, the cube will detect every move and display them on your phone screen.
The application includes multiple functions, including automatic timing: it starts and stops the timer on its own, thus saving a few hundredths of a second for each solve.
The cube comes in a Stickerless version, is 56 mm and weighs 76 g.
